I'm a new Sheepshaver user, working on a Mac OSX and I'm trying to get Oregon Trail II within the OS9 environment... so far the installation has worked properly, but my snag is that, even with the original .toast file mounted via Toast Titanium in OSX, the game start-up wants a CD-ROM. How do I get past this?
Please explain in layman's terms with great detail... I am very new at this.
You have added a boot disk to SheepShaver before?
Add the Oregon Trail .toast image the same way,
without mounting in OSX first.
Dont forget to lock the CD image in your host system. The game will quit with a I/O error otherwise.
Mounting the image with SheepsShaver´s GUI seems to work for me, but I tried the img from here:

Still not working. I tried locking the .toast file, adding it as a new disk to Sheepshaver, and then and mounting it in OSX... still asks for CD. Any more ideas?
Do not try to mount one image on the host and the emulator at the same time.
(it may not matter with read only drives, but its not a good idea, anyway.)
Add the desired image to SS´s volumes and it should be mounted fine.
Can you try the img pointed to above, to make sure?
Another possibility is mounting something within the emulation.
