SimpleText with Pictures?

For many years I've embedded PICT images into SimpleText files but the process is cumbersome. It requires a resource editor such as ResEdit to do the job. What a pain.

Do you know of a version of SimpleText (probably NOT written at Apple) that makes embedding PICT images into SimpleText files easier?

Not one that I know of, sorry. Its probably because SimpleText images need to be purgable PICT resources beginning ID 1000, 1001, 1002, etc and requiring a non-breaking space as an insertion point along with a bunch of carriage returns to accommodate an image, that you have to do this manually & use ResEdit.

If a document has a lot of graphic content, its usually simpler to use a DTP program (even ClarisWorks/AppleWorks Draw module) to create the document and save it as PDF.
