Swap, Trade, Sell, Giveaway Mac/PC Stuff!

I need a 512MB/1GB PC-100 or PC-133 RAM DIMM for my iMac G4, and a new 1/2 AA 3.6V Lithium PRAM battery, and compatible torx screwdrivers for the install. I have seen a 1.5GB install on YouTube.

In an effort to source this, I am offering for trade my newly acquired 600MHz iMac SE (Graphite) with keyboard. Also, I have a couple of PC graphics cards (7900GT, 7600GS - both PCIe) which should be Mac compatible with a kext edit in 10.6.8+.

I have a lot of DDR400 RAM (mostly 512MB/256MB) and something that will easily cover the trade, 2x 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM from Crucial (with heat spreaders).

PC Voodoo card (unknown model, but has twin matching heatsinks) and comes with PC loopback cable.

Mac compatible USB2.0 4 port PCI card (USB 1.0 under OS9 -> USB 2.0 under Mac OS X)

Firewire 400 IDE Optical Drive enclosure, with cables.

I have a lot more little pieces - firewire cards, SATA cards etc. Just ask.

Thanks for reading.

Hi, I might have some of the memory spare, but I remember sending some to Aus before for someone from here. I might still have more. I grabbed 4 512MB PC133 sticks from some office PCs sent for scrap and I may have used 2 of them.
Just check the OWC page for iMac G4 RAM upgrades - http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/apple/memory/iMac/G4_700MHz_800MHz particularly where it highlights that it needs 2 different types of RAM - a standard 168pin PC133 SDRAM stick, and a laptop sized SO-DIMM stick for the user-accessible slot. I have the standard 168pin modules, never seen sticks like that in 1GB, although they do exist on eBay etc.
I have T7 and T8 drivers, but alas, I need them for my powerbooks. Like you are finding, they're hard to find, but when I got mine in the UK, they were £3 each, pennies really for Stanley tools. I don't think the big chains will have them, but a small outlet might. I did think about the socketed screwdrivers, but the Torx bits for them tend to jump from T10 to T15 to T20 with nothing in between or below.
I'm in the same boat with my USB 2 iMac G4, desperate to upgrade the RAM from 1GB, but it'll cost more than I paid for it, and I've seen the free OWC video for upgrading the non-customer replaceable RAM, it's an ORDEAL.

Yeah, I have already bumped the user accessible slot to 512MB, and that cost DOUBLE what I paid for the machine!! Sad

This retro thing gets expensive really fast.

On a related note: I am also giving away my two spare 1GB uDIMMs (1066 ECC) RAM chips from my Mac Pro upgrade.

Also, I believe (not sure) that my Voodoo card is a Voodoo 5 5500. It has no fans (only heatsinks) so I may be wrong. let me check the model number online.

Looks like my 3dfx card is a plain old 8MB Voodoo2 (two vertically placed heatsinks on card) Sad

Still, this is still a nice card for old games. It will play Q3A in 16bit at a nice resolution.

All games are fullscreen with this card btw.
