Taking Requests: PowerPup's software collection.

I'm PowerPup, been a Mac user since I was six. And because of that plus having several siblings, I have a lot of software available for sharing. But since there is so much and spring quarter is starting on the 5th for me, I thought I'd find out if there were any programs in particular people would like me to upload first. (I do plan to eventually get it all uploaded.)

The list is organized by Publisher, I will be uploading them all in the archival format recommended by MCP's Old Mac Archive website. More will be added to the list as I find them from storage. If there are any issues that would prevent me from uploading any of the mentioned software (like the case for Maxis games,) please inform me. Wink

I would take a look to Amazon.com or other places whether they're available in new condition. When sold by third-party sellers off Amazon, they're OK to be uploaded here.

Already available at this site:
Number, Super & Word Munchers

If Win&Mac version is in your database, please make sure to upload both, usually as a hybrid CD ROM file.

I think your Hasbro Interactive Scrabble (Win & Mac) entry is also already here:

if you could prioritise the Thinkin Things, that would be brill

And i know we've had this conversation before but the living books are still sold as new all over the place, they really should be kept off, ontop of that i would put cash on there being further legal complications with the copyright of Dr Seuss content

Here is a list of rare word processors that have not been uploaded to MacGarden yet. Maybe you have some of them:

WorldWrite (the only Unicode Word Processor for Mac OS classic)

FrameMaker (old versions before v7.0 which is on MacGarden)

FullWrite Dictionaries (FullWrite is available on the web without international dicitionaries)

Nisus Writer Dictionaries (Nisus does not sell them anymore and I have never ever seen them being offered second hand anywhere for sale)

StarOffice for Mac OS 9

papyrus for Mac OS 9

VivaPress Pro serial German and US (German Viva Press installer is uploaded here but serial is not available on the web)

WinText by WinSoft

MindWrite

MacPublisher

RagTime 5 with dictionaries (on MacGarden is only RagTime Solo/Privat without dictionaries)

Interleaf Publisher

Ventura Publisher Gold

Yeah, but I thought I'd add them in case someone was interested in the iso. Wink MCP told me about scrabble & x-wing already being here too.
I've removed the Dr. Suess and Disney software. (Just to be safe.)

@xy: I do happen to have a boxed copy (box isn't in the greatest condition, found it at a goodwill,) of FullWrite Professional v1.1. But never had a Mac old enough to run it. (Guess its time I setup an emulator to test it.) I'm not sure what condition the disks are in. So I may or may not be able to archive it.

Update: I've added Thinkn' Things Collection 1 and FullWrite Professional 1.1 to Macintosh Garden. Laughing out loud

Your thoughts are right. Images of an original media are always welcome to replace the floating file/folder collections.

I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how to rip a hybrid CD, (Thinkn' Things Collection 3.) What is the recommended method for archiving such CDs?

Thank you, for your effort and your uploads.

Thanks, 24bit, for this link, this is a good starting point to create CD images.
Toast is a good starting point to create them, but be sure to enable 'older' settings in Toast, to get the HFS Standard file format, rather than HFS+, which is mostly not used for commercial CD-ROMs.
Toast 5, av here, should work with this 'older' setting by default, I believe.

I actually uploaded Thinkin Things 1 to my own Mediafire archive (and a few other specimens), but I haven't worked in it in a while. Plus, I don't know if I archived it correctly (I might've done Mac partition only)

The Smelly Mystery is another one of the applications I played in elementary school. I don't think I ever finished it, but I'd like to see it again. However, it's a little weird to me trying to play a game I haven't seen in 12 years.

I love Macintosh Garden. It helps me reconnect with old software.

Been looking for Reader Rabbit's Ready for Letters for ages! I remember playing it when I was just a little president. Smile I also have some younger siblings who'd get enjoyment out of it.

I also remember playing a Museum Madness demo on some Club Kidsoft disc thingy. It'll be cool playing the full version.

Do you have the Reader Rabbit where he's located in a newspaper office, or is that Ready for Letters?

No, Reader Rabbit Ready for Letters is where he's at his grandparent's house. I don't have any of the other Reader Rabbit games.

There's some boxart pics on the amazon.com page.

Hey I have a request for you.....

It's the EA*Kids Creative Reader Collection

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?LH_BIN=1&_sacat=0&_nkw=Creative%20Reader%...

You should buy that and when you get it, you should make a CD image and put it on your mediafire account.

All right, then I'll stop telling them! And I can't buy it, because I don't own a real Macintosh.

anabate123, if you don't own the real Macintosh, then try using emulators such as Basilisk II and Sheepshaver. Also, you need to search ROMs from the internet.
