Triple Boot, need GRUB2 help pls.

My Mac Pro 4,1 currently has THREE operating systems installed.

Mac OS X 10.8.5 (supplemental) - 1st disk, 1st partition, 1st installed
Windows 7 64bit - 1st disk, 2nd partition, installed 2nd with Boot Camp Assistant
Xubuntu 13.04 64bit - installed last to a separate 1TB HDD

Using Boot Camp (Startup Disk), it boots to GRUB2, and not windows, but I can boot Windows from GRUB2.

OSX does not load from GRUB2 (gets to the point where it says "Still waiting for root device")

I can switch readily between Windows/OSX using BootCHAMP or BootCamp windows taskbar item.

At the moment, using different techniques, I can boot into all OSes, but I would prefer to have a unified working bootloader and not have to go through other OS to get where I want. GRUB2 was working before, but failed on my second Linux install, as I accidentally replaced MBR, and didn't use the / partition.

PLEASE NOTE: I have a non-EFI firmware graphics card, so cannot see any early boot screens (Boot Camp, rEFIt, etc.). The text-only GRUB menu DOES WORK tho.

If anyone can help out, I would really appreciate it.

I'd like to help you out, tmm, but having not been there as yet...

Spotted a couple of recent threads (with solutions) which may be of use, I hope:
Can't boot into OS X after installing Linux & GRUB2
Restoring "Macintosh HD" GUID

Thanks for those MTT.

I have no issue with OSX whatsoever, but I accidentally replaced the MBR instead of installing GRUB to the root PARTITION (grrrr - silly me).

UPDATE: Neither of those links help in my situation. I may have to remove Linux completely and start again (after repairing the Win7 bootloader).

Ah, I thought you were having probs with the OSX part. I've used MBRFix with success in the past to get rid of grub probs. To restore MBR that is.

Yeah, I will be using the Win7 alternative, which name I cannot remember offhand, but I have the original disc, and I can look up the info online again. Many thanks, I will dump Linux (temporarily) to get this machine working again (and gain a terabyte of storage).
