So I was looking at an old MacAddict, and it talked about a 10-game CD bundle called "Ten Tons of Fun", which had at press time:
Myth ("2 tons of fun!", they claimed)
Descent II (a ton of fun)
Virtual Pool (1400 pounds of fun)
A-10 Cuba (1400 pounds)
Souls in the System (1000 pounds)
The Bonkheads (500 pounds)
Absolute Solitaire (250 pounds, though they concluded there were better shareware versions)
Starlight Casino (50 pounds, "less impressive than the 1984-era MacCasino")
Alley 19 Bowling (1.5 ounces, "incredibly buggy")
Pro Pinball The Web (fun-free, "consistently locked up our machine on startup")
They concluded the pack contained just a bit over 5 tons of fun.
But then I did a Google search on the same title, and apparently this version (http://www.reviewanygame.com/10-Tons-Of-Fun-Pack-(Mac)?asin=B00005LKTE) is different. Myth, Absolute Solitaire, Starlight Casino, Alley 19 Bowling, The Bonkheads, Souls in the System, and A-10 Cuba are still there, but three games are different. Descent II, Virtual Pool, and Pro Pinball The Web have been jettisoned for Marathon, Shadow Wraith, and FA-18 Hornet. What gives? Did MacAddict get an early release, or did StarPlay release two entirely different versions?
