I have the original black & white Ultima III disk, but can't figure out how to get around the copy protection in order to upload it. I know this is a much-requested game--does anyone have any suggestions, or is it a dead end?

Although a genuine working image is probably preferable, the files of the old U3 can be downloaded on an image together with Gato here:

Very cool! Thanks for the link. I didn't think a working copy would ever surface.
I have all the original Mac documentation, including the books of spells, which contain vital information not included in the game files. Would it be cool to bundle the software from your link together with my doc scans and upload it here, or is that stepping on the toes of the person who did the original rip?

I think if you own the documentation you could feel free to prepare it. There is a "Game's manual:" field in the "Edit Page" site, but it holds only *one* file. If the books are not to thick, you could put the books together into one file (PDF, if possible? )
