USB PCMCIA card is freezing OS 9! [Resolved]

I hate to post more than one thread in a day, but this is the only place I know to go for support. Anyways...

I have a USB 2.0 PC card. For a long time it didn't work on my Powerbook G3 Wallstreet, but that was because I didn't even have USB drivers installed. So, I installed Apple's nice little USB drivers and it seemed to work -- for about thirty seconds. After only a fraction of time of having the PC card inserted, the entire Mac froze and I had to do a hard restart. I've tried it multiple times to no avail. It'll let me browse a flash drive or use a USB mouse, as I said, but then everything just crashes. Is there any possible solution to this (you know, other than buying another PC card)?

I've used the card in an old Dell laptop running Windows XP and it worked just fine.

Thanks!

Edit:
Well, once again I found the solution to my problem. I'm a bit embarrassed though because the answer was actually in the README for the drivers. It turns out that I had to turn off Processor Cycling in the Energy Settings. Now it works perfectly, and I'm satisfied. Hope this helps someone else!
