Hi folks - Not sure if this has been covered already but I cant seem to find it. I am trying to get vMac working for the first time, but the screen is jumbled and the Disk Image of OS 6 from Apple appears to be corrupt......Can anyone give me a rundown on the steps to get it working? Ive tried everything and feel at the end of my rope.

Oh, I didn't know you were looking for a rom file. Let me start with the basics...
You need two things to run vMac, a rom and a boot disk. Apparently distributing roms is not okay to do, even on an abandonware site, so I'll tell you to find one on google. What I linked to will boot vMac into Mac OS 6, if you have a rom.
The rom needs to be named vmac.rom, and be in the same folder as Mini vMac. To boot up, run the emulator then drag your boot disk image onto the vmac window.
So its not as simple as making a new, blank ROM, and loading OS 6 onto it to create a virtual hard drive?
As virtual HDD, a NDIF img should be fine. Some basics about emulation can also be found by googling for redundant robot sheepshaver tutorial. If you have ROM and app, run it and drag the dsk´s Thundersock pointed you to on the emulator´s screen.
Add a NDIF image of your choice, format if needed and install system software.
