that doesn't make any sense... cause its suppose to be a game disk image!

If that is true then I would imagine that the person who created the archive made a mistake.

I just did a test where I created a .Sd2f file in Toast 6. Next I control-clicked on it in the Finder and chose Toast It. Toast 8.0.1 launched and the contents of the .Sd2f file appeared in the Audio window under the Audio CD format, as expected.
