"Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted."

I'm getting this message a lot lately, mostly when I want to correct some grammar/spelling mistakes in my last post. I understand the problem with spammers but is there a way to allow unlimited editing of your last post without triggering the spam filter? After all it's only editing, not adding something new. Smile

Anyone else has the same problem?

I haven't triggered that one for some time. When it did it was usually on posts that contained external (to the garden) links. Is that what you are getting?

Haven't had a captcha to enter for a while either.

Yes, tonight, I was only replying to a post in a topic's thread. There wasn't even a URL in my reply, yet it got the "Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted." BS Sad

Hasn't happened to me in a long time 'till now.

[Edit] Figured it out: I had dared to use the word masoch*st in a sentence. Go figure. Try replacing the "*st" in "masoch*st" with "ist" and see how you get on posting it. LOL.

Boy, you really need to watch what you say around here Laughing out loud

Hehe, you couldn't use words like "suck" or "blow" in the Apple Discussions. A real pain in the arse when trying to explain how to clean the dust out of an MDD.

Imagine if you couldn't have used "floppy" and "hard" there, either Laughing out loud

What gets me is you can use "arse" here yet I can't use "masoch*st" without altering its spelling Wink

Just ran into that problem a minute ago. Having successfully updated a bunch of external mediafire links in a posting, suddenly the spam filter does not allow any further editing of that very post. Strange, since it's just another mediafire link that triggers the spam filter.

I guess it's not the wording that triggers the spam filter, but the fact that I'm editing the same posting over and over again to include more and more links. What do you think?

@UFK:

I want to disable this filter but we've had issues before. I wonder where Maedi is...

Remember, Australia has been flooded. Probably this is the reason.

To be honest, I intentionally said "arse" to test the filter.

arse, arse, arse, feck, drink, arse
