I am trying to post a reply to responses from very helpful folks here in this thread http://macintoshgarden.org/forum/g3-ibook-mac-os-9-small-screen, but I keep getting the spam message, no matter if I try it from home or from work. What gives?

I usually get hit with that one if I've entered an URL into a topic and later found a better link and try to replace the URL I'd placed earlier. Very very annoying.
I think that if you search in the SEARCH field above, for "spam filter" (no quotes) you'll find others that have come before you and hit the same brick wall.
It'd be good if captcha was clever enough to work out who's a spammer here and not trigger on somebody re-editing their own post
