This sequel was better than the original. Gameplay was awesome. The storyline was great as well. Durandal is my favorite god-complex-computer-program ever! I wish he would have made at least a cameo in the Halo series.
I played this game so much that I could finish the first two levels using only the fists when in hard level
(Yes I know, some people managed to finish the game this way ... but still 
).
For those interested, I still take the time to play this game now and then, and would ove a old-school net play

? You shoud have searched "Marathon 2" with google : the first available link is an article on wikipedia which itself links to Bungie's web site where the game is now freely availble

As a side note, I loved the box that came with this game but its original triangle shape made it quite week, and I finally managed to damage it up to the point I had to trash it
... too bad !
Actually better than the contemporary DOOM series, with more intricate mapping and more scenery interaction, as well as better control of your character (being able to look up and down and sided to side without turning, and actually being able to SWIM in water).
Probably the best of the pre-3d FPS games and engines.
I can play this again after YEARS of searching. Thanks mucho.
