This is the CD-ROM version of Might and Magic: World of Xeen, which is Might and Magic IV and Might and Magic V combined, resulting in some extra quests that involve both sides of Xeen. The CD-ROM version also has a whole lot more digitized speech and a few other things they couldn't fit onto a million floppy disks.
As they solve mysteries and attempt to descover the unknown, players encounter more than 200 speaking characters throughout this fantasy/role-playing epic, including the mysterious Ellinger, who tells the secrets of salvation, and Sharla, Queen of Sprites, who is searching for her lost sister. Thanks for the tip. I tried yesterday but it wasn't working. Today it seems to be working, though.
Try the 4-Shared mirror
Temporarily unavailable???! Nooooooooooooooooooo ...
Trying to mount the World of Xeen.ati disk image via the included VirtualCD imager just pops up an error message saying "insufficient system resources to mount this image" despited having allocated 1GB RAM to the virtual Mac. (I am using Basilisk II, a 2010 Intel Mac and Lion).
Any ideas?
It works fine for me in Sheepshaver from the little I played. I'm using the Windows version.
i cannot get this to load in sheepshaver. has anyone got it working in an emulator?
-- i got it working in basiliskII running 7.5.3
Thanks so much for this! I have the PC versions of Might and Magic 1-5 on CD, and I could NEVER get either 4 or 5 to work on any of the PCs that my friend has had over the years. This works perfectly on my G3. I can finally finish up the series! Yay!
A real diamand this game in CD! thanks for sharing
great great great!!! many thx for this upload! 6/5 stars
Yeah you can copy all the files from the CD to the hard drive and it'll load the files from there instead, says so in the read me! They just require the CD to be in there for the disc check and if you don't have certain folders installed because of space or whatever.
Works great! Thanks. Would it be possible to copy all the data files to the HD to help the game run faster? Because When running from the CD, you have to wait for it to spin and it takes a few seconds to load up parts of the game.
Yeah thanks, found that link on your most recent post as well. Downloading now.
Ok thanks, just when you get time.
