Return to Castle Wolfenstein is set during World War II, located somewhere in Germany. It blends warfare and the occult mixed in with science fiction, bringing together battles waged between opposing regular armies, mummies, undead warriors, demon bosses and mutant horrors. This makes for some very exciting & interesting game play. Single & Multiplayer games to choose from:

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC (Carbonized)

Although the system requirements are as above, I am able to play RtCW on a beige G3 running Mac OS 9.1, specs; 300 MHz, 384 MB RAM & 16MB ATI Rage Pro video (ex PCI G4 tower). - Its slow to load, but the game play is smooth & without stuttering.

The originals are always the best - Castle Wolfenstien and Beyond Castle Wolfenstein on the Apple II or C64. Remakes / reboots are always rubbish. Wink

RTCW is the best wolfenstien in my opinion.

But then i'm biased, wolfenstien is my favorite series Smile

"I have this game on PC. Is there a app to launch the PC files on Mac?"

Here's how you can do it, using your PC's RtCW files:
[Updated Aug, 2014]:

  • A super simple method requiring very little effort:
    • Create a new folder on your Mac's hard drive, name it "Wolfenstein".
    • Copy the "Main" folder from your PC's RtCW install (approx. 700+ MB's), over into the new "Wolfenstein" folder on your Mac.
    • DL the Mac RtCW updater; "RtCW_141beta.sit" (16.19 MB), from 2nd DL above
    • Extract the updater and run it, directing it towards the new "Wolfenstein" folder;
      • It'll find the copied-over full version RtCW files in the "Main" folder and installs the necessary RtCW Mac libraries and apps into the "Wolfenstein" folder.
  • Before the 1st run:
    • Inside the copied over "Main" folder, delete the file named "wolfconfig.cfg" and the folder named "save", if it exists (these get recreated fresh).

This will give you an updated full Mac version of RtCW, good to go.

Meh, not quite HL standards I dont think. Thats aiming little high, its more realistic and sneaking round. Not to mention hard in some areas. Also less puzzles than HL, lots of mindless shooting lol.

It's like any other first person game like Half-Life.

Fantastic game!! I still play this from time to time on my MacBook, which I refuse to update to 10.7, simply because this, and other PPC apps wouldn't work on it anymore.

@max1zzz - I don't think so. It's converted from an OS X DMG I found spread across Rapidshare.

I used Toast 5 to mount and install it. Just set Toast to Disc Image mode and drag the ISO file into the Toast window, then click Mount. The image does not need to be mounted to play.

How do i mount this disk image? I tried Toast and Disk Copy. Toast does nothing and Disk Copy sez it can,t mount. Anyone else have this problem?
