Space Tripper

Space Tripper is a frantic side-scrolling 3D shoot-em-up. You have to battle through 14 levels divided over 4 thematic worlds, each with a different style and enemies. Each world ends with a huge boss battle. Carefully balance upgrading your two weapons, or at the end you'll be hard pressed to win (hint: focus on the blue one).

Architecture: PPC

The disk image includes the following versions

• the original 1.6 release. I don't remember with which Mac OS X versions it was compatible, but it was probably Mac OS X 10.1
• the 1.83 release, which probably added Mac OS X 10.2 compatibility
• the 1.84 release, which came in a version that was compatible with Mac OS X 10.2.8, and another one which was compatible with Mac OS X 10.3 and later (still works on Mac OS X 10.5)

The game consistently crashes after a while when run under Rosetta.
