The general objective of the games is to create a series of Heath Robinson, or Rube Goldberg devices: arrange a given collection of objects in a needlessly complex fashion so as to perform some simple task (for example, "put the ball into a box" or "light a candle"). - Wikipedia

Works perfectly on my Lime iMac G3 without crashes or problems.
Yes, use Basilisk ][ or SheepShaver
I'm having the same problem as Mandy. I followed the guide for downloading and setting up Basilisk II, but when I try to open TIM (the incredible machine) it goes blank and crashes. Someone help please!!
There is a sequel to this game called "The Incredible Machine Returns"
its a c.d. and i have it.
I cannot run this game on my Mac. It says that it 'no longer supports the Classic environment'. Should I be running Basilisk, I wonder?
Does anyone know where I can get the original?
watchsmart, i'm new to basilisk II and i've been trying to get TIM3 up and running! basilisk runs Mac OS 7 fine but when it comes to running the TIM3 file it just goes blank or crashes =(
any ideas what may be going wrong?
TIM was such an awesome game and seeing the photos bring back intense waves of nostalgia, I really MUST make this work!

The pinnacle of the Incredible Machine series. This had it all. Cats, bowling balls, a little guy who you could bash around with your insane contraptions, lasers, monkeys on treadmills, and much more. In it's original PC DOS version, this game was known as The Incredible Machine 2, and the actual name of the version is "The Incredible Machine: Version 3.0". This is simply a port of the game to Windows/Mac.
Because of this, and because there was never a real Mac only sequel to TIM1, I feel that this game should have been called "The Incredible Machine 2: Win/Mac edition", because that's exactly what it is.
This one runs perfectly in Basilisk II running Mac OS 7 or later. A really fun game... I loved it when I was a kid.
