Mac OS 7 is a single-user graphical user interface-based operating system for Macintosh computers. It was introduced on May 13, 1991 by Apple Computer. It succeeded System 6, and was the main Macintosh operating system until it was succeeded by Mac OS 8 in 1997. Features added with the Mac OS 7 release included cooperative multitasking, virtual memory, personal file sharing, an improved user interface, QuickTime, and QuickDraw 3D.
With the release of version 7.6 in 1997, Apple officially renamed the operating system "Mac OS", a name which had first appeared on Mac OS 7.5.1's boot screen. Mac OS 7 was developed for the Motorola 68k processor, but was ported to the PowerPC after Apple adopted the new processor.
The next major release was Mac OS 7.5 (codenamed "Capone", a reference to Al Capone and "Chicago", which was the code name for Microsoft's Windows 95), which included bug fixes from previous updates and added several new features.

The Macintosh LC 575 was available from 1994 to 1996. They had the same "all-in-one" case as the LC 520/550, but used a LC 475/Quadra 605-related motherboard with a Motorola 68LC040 CPU (at a speed of 33 MHz instead of 25 MHz). Note that the CPU clock is sometimes given as 66 MHz, since the clock signal is of that frequency - however, the processor itself only runs at 33 MHz. The LC 575 also introduced the comm slot, which was included in most later LC models as well. The LC variant was succeeded by the Macintosh LC 580, while the Performa variants were sold until the end of the 580 line; the LC 580 Performa variants were only available outside of the United States.

The Apple Macintosh Quadra 630 features a 33 MHz 68040 processor, 4 MB of RAM, and a 250 MB hard drive in a compact desktop case. An internal 2X CD-ROM drive and video input/output also were available as options. Notably, the Quadra 630 additionally was the first Mac to use an internal IDE bus, rather than SCSI, and as a result, it supported cheaper hard drives than earlier models.
The Apple Macintosh LC 630 (PC) features a 33 MHz 68LC040 processor, 4 MB or 8 MB of RAM, either a 250 MB or 350 MB hard drive, and a 2X CD-ROM drive in a compact desktop case.

The Power Macintosh 6100 was Apple Computer's first computer to use the new PowerPC RISC type processor created by IBM and Motorola. It came in the Centris 610's "pizza box" low-profile case, and superseded the Quadra series that used Motorola's 68040 processor, Apple's previous high end workstation line.
The Power Macintosh 7100 was a mid-range Apple Macintosh personal computer that was designed, manufactured and sold by Apple Computer from March 1994 to January 1996. The PowerMac 7100 was faster and more expandable than the Power Macintosh 6100, and was a part of the original Power Macintosh line along with the 6100 and the Power Macintosh 8100. It came in a slightly restyled Macintosh IIvx case, and received a speed increase to 80 MHz (from its original 66 MHz) in January 1995. When it was discontinued it was succeeded by two new models, the Power Macintosh 7200 and the Power Macintosh 7500.
The Power Macintosh 8100 (Codenames: "Cold Fusion", "Flagship"; also sold in Japan as the Power Macintosh 8115 and with bundled server software as the Apple Workgroup Server 8150) is a personal computer that is a part of Apple Computer's Power Macintosh series of Macintosh computers. It was introduced in March 1994 alongside the Power Macintosh 6100 and the Power Macintosh 7100 as the high end model of the original Power Macintosh series and a direct continuation of the prior Macintosh Quadra 800. It also shares the 800's notoriously cramped case.

Comments
I replaced the link for the Powermac 6100/7100/8100 restore CD version 3.0. I have the physical cd so i can upload it again if it is removed.
Replaced link to Mac OS 7.5 for LC630/Quadra630. I uploaded it originally for sheep to add to his collection.
You rock, Protocol7. Thanks for your time!
Done. I've updated the link below.
Was wondering if there was an extension I might have missed
Ooh! Thank you so much! I can post this as an application now, too! If this is from the restored Performa disc, can you do one more thing for me? Can you peek inside the Extensions folder and find the "Billminder" extension? Apparently that's part of it, too. It would be really cool!
Here's Quicken 4: http://ge.tt/9ZbEpeD (updated with Billminder extension)
Poo. I'm using Linux. Thanks though.
Use VMWare Fusion or Parallels Desktop for Mac if you using Intel Mac.
Would somebody do me a huge favor? I really need a copy of Quicken 4.0. Apparently, the restore disc:
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/macintosh-system-75#Performa_630CD_635CD...
contains Quicken 4, but it's trapped inside the Restore All Software program. I recognize it is possible to extract this disc using SoftMac XP by emulating a SCSI volume, as specified in the Performa Restore Discs guide, but I don't have access to a Windows-based system. Perhaps someone even has a standalone version of Quicken 4.0 they would be willing to upload to M.G.?
Sure. Please (someone) upload all the external stuff to the internal server, too.
It's time to merge all the pages associated with Mac OS 7.5.0 with this page, making just like a guide. Also, I have resizing CD scans and cleaned up all discussions from the original application pages.
Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' by 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
Not always. Mac OS 7.5 brokes a lot stuff, I remember Battle Chess (b/w version) and Deluxe Music Construction Set.
Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' by 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
was the most compatible
For users has the Macintosh with 601 processor upgrade or Power Mac 6100, 7100, and 8100 series, I can now include these disk images only on the separate one.
I've updated this page so it will add the original disk sets in DiskDup format.
You instead post the CD-ROM to here.
@Attila:
I have most (more like all
) of these in my archives. However, it's too much to put online here.
And I don't post torrents.
Buy it yourself if you want it so bad. And that big complicated request does not belong in the software's description field. You should post it to the forum or to comments.
