Mac OS 7 is a single-user graphical user interface-based operating system for Macintosh computers. It was introduced on May 13, 1991 by Apple Computer. It succeeded System 6, and was the main Macintosh operating system until it was succeeded by Mac OS 8 in 1997. Features added with the Mac OS 7 release included cooperative multitasking, virtual memory, personal file sharing, an improved user interface, QuickTime, and QuickDraw 3D.

With the release of version 7.6 in 1997, Apple officially renamed the operating system "Mac OS", a name which had first appeared on Mac OS 7.5.1's boot screen. Mac OS 7 was developed for the Motorola 68k processor, but was ported to the PowerPC after Apple adopted the new processor.

Mac OS 7.5.1 was primarily a bug fix on 7.5, but also introduced a new "Mac OS" startup screen in preparation for Mac clones.

Power Macintosh 5200/75 installation CD

Introduced in April 1995, the original 5200s use a 75 MHz PowerPC 603 CPU. The Power Macintosh 5200 LC was only sold to the education market, while the Performa models were sold to consumers. In April 1996, they were replaced by the 5260-related models, but some Performa models remained available for a longer time.

I've searching this for a very long time, finally, I have found this somewhere. This is the installation CD for Power Macintosh 5200/75 LC. Because this model cannot run Mac OS 7.5, it requires the special enabler and some specific extensions to become Mac OS 7.5.1. This is the restore CD of Mac OS 7.5.1 for Macintosh Performa 5200 series in 1995 (for 5200cd, 5215cd, etc.). It has the basic software bundle than it was available from the corresponding family model restore CD, which has different bundles. This CD is the North-American English (691-0529-A), but the CD scan below shows the English-Canada edition, contents mostly different.

For Basilisk II or vMac users, please replace the System file from the original Mac OS 7.5 installation if you want to restore Performa 5200/6200 software. In Basilisk II, use the high color mode. May work for other Performa 6200 and 6300 series. For SheepShaver, you need to update to Mac OS 7.5.3 instead via Mac OS 7.5 Update 2.0.

I have received the CD image of Macintosh Performa 580cd series restore. Contains the software shown above, but I have to upload later. Mediafire uploads always failing and cannot be resumed.
