I was trying to upload the ROM of my palm to the computer, but both Palm OS Emulator and ROM Transfer wouldn't listen. Of course, I have the 'USB' port option. Could somebody please help me so I can get my ROM working on POSE 3.5?

Which version of Palm Emulator? And what OS are you running it on? Mac? Windows?
If its POSE version 3.5 for Mac, there should be an accompanying "Docs" folder along with the emulator app. Inside the Docs folder there should be a PDF doc named "UsingPalmOSEmulator.pdf", which you should at least browse through.
On page 26 of the manual it states that you need to install the intermediary app called "Palm Desktop 2.6.3" or later, which will install an appropriate USB driver, so you can then go grab your ROM, along with the how to do it.
"Palm Desktop 2.6.3" software was included in some of the later Mac OS (9.2.1 - 9.2.2) install CDs in the optional "CD Extras" folder. If you don't have this software handy, I'm sure its still locatable out there...
That, plus a bunch of other "how to do stuff" in this manual... if you don't have this manual, ask.
I have both versions for Mac and PC for both Palm OS Emulator 3.5 (POSE), and Palm Desktop. I heard out there that I need a special version of POSE to transfer the ROM from a Handspring Visor, but I can't find it anywhere.
So have you installed "ROM Transfer.prc" onto the Visor? Have you installed the USB drivers and can sync OK to the Visor using the "Palm Desktop" software? To obtain the correct USB drivers you need to have installed "Palm Desktop 2.6.3" or newer for Macintosh, or version 4.0.1 or newer for Windows OS's.
If so and the above is working for you - if you've already had (prior to obtaining a Visor ROM), sessions of POSE running, the POSE will open to its previous session. You then need start up POSE to its last session and either select "Transfer ROM" from the "File" menu, or right-click onto the POSE display to get the same menu and choose "Transfer ROM". POSE should then open a "Transfer ROM" dialog box that will guide you through the process.
As you can skin the POSE to look like the version of handheld you want to emulate (including Handspring Visor's), I'm guessing it should be possible using the POSE 3.5 you already have.
Have you looked online for suitable ROMs so you don't need to bother extracting it from your Visor?
Personally, I would be trying this on older 32 bit hardwares.
Anyway, I was able to locate two Handspring ROMs for you. Both Visor version 3.1 Palm OS's, one, a release version and the other is a debug version. I have not tried them out as yet myself, so don't know how they will load in the POSE.
I did read elsewhere that the POSE does not support running the Visor ROMs, so, either it will or it won't. Have fun.
[Edit] Works for me. Handspring 3.1 release version & POSE 3.5, on Mac OS 9.0.4 - Just need to source an appropriate skin for it now
The only 32-bit hardware I have is my iBook G4, my old Dell Inspiron 1545 and 1000, and my iBook Clamshell G3. ROM Transfer doesn't work on my Clamshell, the palm device and the Clamshell won't listen to each other.
