Hey, somewhat newbie here (I've lurked for awhile…). I saw AOE 2 is now on the site, but I just found it on Amazon brand new. Is it really abandonware?

Is it Windows version? If so, then yes, because often the Windows versions of games stick around much longer than the Mac version. Plus, is it normally stocked, or an Amazon seller selling a new copy of the game?

I think because the original release of AoE2 for Mac had a system requirement of OS8.6 and a G3 processor it could be considered as a candidate for this site. That is the version that has been uploaded / link to here anyway.
But the v1.0.6 patch raises the min requirement to OSX 10.3.9. While the v1.0.6 patch is available via macsoftgames, you can't buy the original game. This is still a lot better than the support used to be, support was a generic link to an atari support page that provided nothing.
