Another nameless (to me) title that I want once more!

I used to play an RPG where you were a blonde-haired, green shirt, blue pants-wearing dude. I remember one of the mini games was you had to gamble and say you could drink x cups of milk without puking and I would cheat by drinking - saving - drinking - saving - puking - loading save - drinking... etc. It was probably no more than 256 color and I used to love it. I have been racking my brain to remember the name but I can't and I lost it when I reformatted our old G3. I'm pretty sure it was turn-based fighting too. There were spiders and dragons that zapped you and stuff like that, and if you went in an area beyond your skill level you got raped. Also, it was not isometric, but it was bird's eye view style. Any ideas?

Yikes! That's another RPG I'll never play.

It could be a Japanese game. Were there any tentacles?

http://www.tucows.com/preview/228513 perhaps? I've been looking for that one for ages myself, it's really hard to find a full version. Not sure about the milk, but he's got a green shirt and blue pants.

He's talking about rape and you're talking about tentacles. I'll never see this game the same way again. Ever!

*Slightly* off-topic: this makes me think of the time I rented an animated video without looking closely enough at the tape I actually had in my hands before I took it home. Turns out I grabbed the wrong one. Yep. Tentacles and more...

Something similar happened to me, Attila. A guy I knew was obsessed with this OVA about this secret agent fighting some mutants from another dimension and gave me the DVD for the weekend. Well, it was about a secret agent fighting mutants all right; shame he forgot to mention the hooker that turns into a spider monster with her vagina as a secondary mouth. I never saw the end of that movie.

Back to topic. Applelinks has a review of Atlas: The Gift of Aramai.

Here's the final verdict: "My recommendation is to try any other role-playing game instead of Atlas. Visit Spiderweb Software for a good selection of RPGs or try Ambrosia Software's Pillars of Garendall if you want an enjoyable role-playing experience." I agree.

Spider Monster... With...
What. The. Fnord? That's messed up. Then again, it is Japan.

Anyway, I have no idea if I've played this or not. It looks really familiar. Slightly more on topic: There was a game that played similar to Descent in the fact that it was a zero-g FPS, but the whole point was to shoot all of these purple v-shaped things. I think it was called "shadowbat," but I can't be certain. I don't even remember if it was fun, but it's been nagging me for a few days.

ShatterBat from the late Antennahead Software. A cross between Descent and Bat Man. Yeah it's fun... for a minute or so.

Ah. Thanks. Also thanks for the mini-review. Played it for roughly 170 seconds, then decided to dig up my Decent CD.
