Anyone got a lazy US$6000 to spend on these?

Two of the best eBay auctions I have seen for a long time. There is also a maxed-out 6500/250 with upgrade card/ethernet and another comm card. You'll recognize it from the two installed cards from the rear view.

There is also a Sonnet Crescendo (?) 500MHz G3 upgrade to suite a whole bunch of Power Macs.

$3000 USD for a 30 year old Computer?...er, I don´t think so,
it looks way too new and very well conserved, it almost makes me think it´s a fake-
the IC´s are (maybe) original, but the case, nowadays it´s easy and cheap to make a replica of pretty much any plastic case.

Yes, I was incredibly concerned about the plastic colour and condition of the 128k Mac.

The G5 looks totally awesome tho... assuming that what is written on the invoice IS what is in the box.

Retr0brite -- WOW!

Not only great, but DIY !!!

I have all the ingredients (not arrowroot, but I can get that), so I am looking forward to doing my G4 iMac keyboard (which is VERY discoloured)!

Be very careful with retr0brite, if you get it wrong it will ruin your plastics.

I prefer to leave my macs case plastics alone, i think the discoloring shows the computers past

Since our plastics are becoming yellow, aren't they becoming "colored"?

I quite like the small amount of discolouring on a well looked-after Mac. There was a Commodore 64 on the Retr0bright site that was BROWN!

When you see a before and after comparison, there is no way you would prefer the "before" colour.

I am a total n00b at all this, so would probably turn everything into brown and white zebra stripes - interesting, but not what is wanted on an old Mac Smile

Ok, even i have to admit i would retr0brite that

If possible i would find something you don't mind ruining and try it on that first just to get a idea of how it works

Good call max1zzz

I don't have any old things to try. My old BBC Micro B 32K was badly discoloured, but I already donated that to a more worthy owner. Sad

I can easily find some VICTIMS at the local dump.
