I cannot make new topic threads in the subforum "Requests", i.e. it says the new topic was created, but it actually does not show up in the list. Is it broken or do I need to do some additional action to activate new topics now ?

It doesn't appear to be. I just posted one OK, kind of as a test in response to your post here. But also for something I've been hoping to see surface for years now.

Same here with General Discussion.
I added a link and a pict and though preview was looking right, no Captcha, the thing never appeared. Oh well.
EDIT: Its working again, as said above.
