If I catch up on reading all the posts in the General discussion forum and then open the main forum page (http://macintoshgarden.org/forum), the General discussion forum is listed with 2 new posts, that is "2 posts" is displayed beneath the number in the Posts column. However, if I open the General discussion page there's no trace of any new or updated posts.
Is there anything I can do to clean up these ghost posts?
Not sure, papa. Just to add a comment, I usually use the Forum links only if I'm going to initiate a fresh topic. I tend not to use the Forums to look for new posts, in favor of the Tracker.
I've been using the Tracker and agree that it's generally the better way to follow activity on the site.
I have noticed that at least over the last few days Tracker has shown a very large volume of new and updated apps and games. Is the Garden always this busy?

Check the "Revisions" links on app/games pages to see who's been doing what. New posts generally aren't new (especially when you see a flush of them), usually a category has changed, and what's old suddenly becomes new again.
