Is anyone wiling to help set up a D.C. for the Classic Mac OS for those of us still making classic Mac software (Such as Classilla, or myself with Copland)? It would be way smaller than WWDC, no doubt, but it would be a great place for people to trade old Macs, and get the software they're developing into the groups eye. Attendance would cost $20 if it ever comes true, and a keynote speaker from whatever company helps set it up will speak about"major" (because we're a minority) releases for Classic Macs. Thanks to anyone who replies.

You might find some locals at the Washington Apple Pi (http://www.wap.org/). I used to go to their Northern Virginia Community College giant garage sale.
In addition, the Classic Mac Dev Google group might be interesting to you - http://groups.google.com/group/classic-mac-dev
I'm interested in what Classic software is being actively created - outside of Cameron Kaiser's Classilla and his new proxy-like thing.
I have to imagine most new additions are going to come via Javascript over Classila.

Well, I was kind of hoping to use the event for Macintosh only areas, such as NuKernel, which is currently almost stable.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no such event in the classic Mac community. We have the numbers, but we are certainly much more unorganized than other "niche OS users" like the Amigans, Atarians etc. etc.
However, I'd love to invite you over to MacDomain.org. (And everyone else too, of course!) We are currently preparing a big relaunch and also have plans for e.g. bounty projects for the classic mac os. Why shouldn't we be able to do what Amiga fans have been doing for a decade now? That said, we need more developers

I'd love to see something like this, I'd never be able to attend tho 
but i think the idear would be grate (and of course i would be happy to help in any way i can)
