Downloaded ram doubler 1.0 (1.0.1 and 1.0.2) from here and it says won't run on compact macs like my se. I have to trade it for a program called compact virtual instead. But can't find it for download anywhere.

Compact Virtual can located via Gamba's web pages. Scroll down page to sub heading "RAM Software" you will see the link for "Compact Virtual 3.0.2" - There is another program under that same sub heading called "OptiMem 2.1.4" which also works on a 68000 CPU and offers to: "Dynamically de-fragment RAM, allowing the opening of an application requiring more RAM than the "Largest Unused Block". It may useful for you too, but I have not used either of these progs to say that they will be of any real use.
