Double mouse button support on old games

I would like to ask if the old games especially adventures like Monkey Island, Larry, Rise of the Dragon etc. support double mouse button on Mac with Mac OS 7.6 or 8.1 (these are the operation systems that i have installed on my performa 6116). For instance on dos you could change the icon (look, action, talk etc.) on Larry 5 with the right click.

Usually, on the Mac a right click will be performed by holding down Ctrl key with simultaneously mouse click. If it is supported by certain games or applications, is a check value.

What brand of multi-button mouse are you using here? If it is Logitech then you might be able to assign keystrokes to a button function on a per-application basis.

It would depend on combination keystrokes a game allows in its options, then mapping those to mouse functions in the mouse driver's Control Panel app.

I don't have multi-button mouse. I have an adb apple mouse button for my performa 6116 and i want to use it on my powerbook 540c. So i am thinking of buying another mouse for the performa. I have found a macally single button but i am checking also the two-button mouses.

While you're looking, if you come across a "Kensington Thinking Mouse" (ADB) consider it too as a possibility for your Performa 6116. Its a very comfortable mouse to use that has four programmable buttons and these can be configured on an per game/program basis as needed. Its fully supported by Apple's Games Sprockets. The Kensington MouseWare drivers it uses are also easy to come by.

I've used this mouse for some years now and will likely continue to, while I still have the hardware to use it on (I'm currently down to one working Mac with ADB, a Centris 660av).
