- Saw this one a day or so back, too. Pity we live on the other side of the country. A bit too far away to drive for a pick up only auction 
I was watching another on ebay au, then forgot about it at the crucial time (last night after a beer or 3). A G3 iBook 500 MHz, excellent condition, battery still holding a charge and original power pack... went for $30

If you are talking about the clamshell iBook, I sympathise! I have been an Apple fanboy since 1984, and I have never even seen one IRL. The one in that auction looked a bit 'urkky' tho.
