(24bit) I really am not savvy with old macs, as much as I love them. I don't even know what DD is. LOL! I used to have MiniVMac installed years ago but had no idea how to use it. Basically I need to be walked through how to do stuff with detailed information in order to learn how to do it... and I don't expect members to spoon-feed that kind of info. You guys have provided a ton of valuable info and it's greatly appreciated, but for me... Doing things in terminal and running emulators is beyond me. I would need a crash course in vintage macs just to get up to speed. I have a few old machines that are strictly collectibles, but I want to turn them on once in a while and play a few games since that's the only thing they are good for at this point. To answer your other question, I'm in New York. Smile

I see. If you read my guide over at Emaculation for Macs with FDHD (SuperDrive) and can´t make anything of it, I would suggest to find a helping hand in the US to send some disks by snail mail.
Maybe http://macintoshgarden.org/users/belethor can help. We had correspondence covering an issue just like your´s. Some other members may be willing to post some floppies too.
I would start a new thread asking for floppies to be sent to you. Smile

In the long run, self help will be best. MiniVMac is very easy to set up and the dd command is well documented. As you already used MiniVMac it will be easy to run it again.
This may be a good starting point: http://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/mini_vmac

i could probably put together a simple program to write the disks, you would still need a mvm install (and possibly as sheepshaver or BII install) but i'm sure we could talk you through how to set that up

It amuses me to a certain degree that I have covered literally every detail this thread has discussed.

Literally.

Yes I know, and I do appreciate your work very much.
Reading your guides is needed though. Smile
