I plan on getting an older Power Macintosh 6500 later this week and adding a networking card to it. Whats the easiest way to network it with a Windows 7 machine? Is there an appletalk server for 7?

I was very fond of PCMacLan and can confirm, it was working perfectly with XP.
I did not try with 7 actually, but would think it could still be made work.
What about FTP? Things might be a lot easier that way.

Else there are Timbuktu; http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/timbuktu-pro-30 with the possibility to remotely control the PC (can´t remember if works the other way round too)
and there´s Dave; http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/dave-40 which is more a networking app giving access to printers etc on a Windows network.
Both do file transfers in a intuitive manner ie drag & drop.
