I currently host or mirror about 70GB (and rising) of Mac Garden files with my RapidShare account. I have just discovered that one such file was removed by RS without explanation.Most likely it was a result of some robot from agents of the copyright police crawling over our site. I do not want this to happen again, and I also want to minimise the risk of my account being cancelled completely if there are repeated instances. So to protect my RS account (and your access to the files hosted there) from robots and automatic takedown requests to RS, I am progressively converting all my links to those from a redirection service (http://links-protection.com/). You will be required to negotiate a Captcha to get at the real link. This will be a nuisance, but that is what I will be doing. If this redirection service disappears at some stage, then I will just look for another and convert the links again, despite the amount of work.
