Hmm never heard of it, but i found in my archives a file called firstclass server 3.5 and an install firstclass client both dated 1998 (the .sit archives, not the actual files), could those be it? Unfortunately the server one is on one of my damaged CDs due to age and i frankly don't remember if that file could be rescued or not. The client one is guaranteed ok.

Yes, FirstClass became very popular for BBSs, along with TeleFinder
