GliderPRO for Mac OSX

I have been a huge Glider fan for a while now, but only recenly have I tried running the OSX version. On unzipping and running the program, I always receive the 'Houses folder not found error' even though everything is in order. I have tried all sorts of things including substituting the Houses folder with the OS9 version. The program was downloaded from John Calhoun's (the original author) website. I am running it on Mac OSX 10.2.8 with 384mb of memory and an 800mhz G3 processor.
If anybody has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks!

That's weird. I always run it under Leopard on both PPC and intel and it's great. Did you download using a Mac or did you transfer it from a pc

Do you have any non-alphanumeric characters in your hard disk name (even a space) ?

Or any such characters in the folder hierarchy down to the game ?

I'll try moving the Glider folder to the root of the disk.

No luck... The Glider folder is in the root of the drive and there are no spaces or non-alphanumeric characters at all.

How precisely did you unzip the file?

Dl:ed from GliderPro's site and it ran right from the unarchived filder. OS 10.5.8/G4/2GB.
What's the exact name of the folder containing the Houses in your Glider Pro folder?

The exact name is "Houses ƒ". I have also tried renaming it "Houses f" like the Classic version, and on that lead I have even tried copying the Houses folder FROM the Classic version, but to no avail.

Weird name. Correct one is "Houses ƒ" (alt-F)

If you get the "Houses ƒ" name, something was wrong when extracting or copying the d/led file...

I've detected the same problem in "From Alice To Ocean", as an example.

Regrettably, IIGS User, your solution didn't work either Sad
However, I did unpack the .zip file using Stuffit Expander 7.0 that came pre-installed with the OS. If you feel that this is the culprit, could you recommend a different program?

Right-Click and choose 'BOM Archive Helper' [?] from 'Open With'. StuffIt is no-good when dealing with .zip's.

Unfortunately, SwedeBear, I was unable to do this as BOM Archive Helper is only included in OSX 10.3 upwards and I'm running 10.2. However, if anybody could unzip the file and re-compress it as a DMG, SIT or any other format and send it to me that would be very much appreciated.

Ah, too bad and my bad. Check if something like 'The Unarchiver' runs under 10.2. Else pick it here:

It worked! Thank you to everybody on this post who commented Smile
I guess the problem was that Stuffit 7 didn't unzip certain files and screwed up others.

StuffIt 7 doesn't know how to unzip mac-specific files. That's why I only zip files in Toast or DiskDup+ format, because they can't be hurt by opening with StuffIt.
