Help needed with hybrid isos

Rather than drag out the conversation on the game pages themselves I'll just ask here. I need a bit of help getting CD support going on my version of Basilisk II. The games I'm having trouble with are Discover the World II, Spelling Jungle, and Oregon Trail II. When I mount the ISOs, either physical or virtual, Basilisk II tells me the disks are locked so they won't even play. I extracted all the windows cd drivers into their proper place in windows/system32/drivers, and no change when I start up Basilisk II. Using get info I unmark the box that says locked, but right after, when I open the same file I just unlocked, it still comes up as locked. I can unlock it for certain if I take the file from My Computer and copy to my Macintosh image. Mounting any iso with Toast Deluxe 4.3.1 causes Basilisk II to freeze or give an error of type -36. My Basilisk II setup is using the Quadra 650 rom and is on SSW 7.5.5, which should be fine for all 3 games in question.

Edit: Sorry, due to external robots changed 'xxx 7' to 'SSW 7' - IIGS User

The Basilisk II "windows/system32/drivers" are so you can mount physical CD media in BII. So if you don't want to burn the .iso's to CD, then:

For .iso's, either drag the .iso into a running BII window, it should mount as a disk drive in a running BII session. Or add its name to the list of drives to mount in the BII GUI before starting a session.

Or create another drive image for BII, large enough to hold a .iso file and copy the .iso into that drive using HFXExplorer or via a shared drive in a running BII session. Then use the "Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility" from the MG (install this 1st), to mount an .iso as a virtual CD on your BII desktop.

Note: With the Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility; Ignore the implied (.ati message) and click the top button in it's UI, labeled "Mount Toast .ati file as Virtual DVD ROM" then use its dialog to locate your CD, .ISO, .Toast, .CDR etc, image file to mount it onto your desktop.

Do not attempt to mount any image or run any file from in the "My Computer" shared drive. This will cause errors. This includes dragging a file from the shared drive onto the desktop (its still in the shared drive even tho it looks to be out of the drive at that point). Files, including disk images or .isos need to be copied into an emulated hard drive before using them.

[ps]. When using the Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility to mount CD images, if the .iso (or any CD image type) is a Mac/PC hybrid, it will mount both Mac & PC partitions onto the desktop. Usually they're easily discernible (the PC partition's name is usually in all caps & has a generic icon).

Many thanks! The Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility was just the trick I needed and now I was able to put in all 3 games I was looking for.
