Hosting a server tonight! Heretic - Doomsday Engine

Macintosh Garden! I'm hosting a Heretic server tonight, using the doomsday engine at around 10:30pm EST. It's a little late for some, and short notice, but this is really a test for my home cable connection since I haven't done much hosting recently.

the HERETIC.wad can be found inside the heretic mac download, available right here on macintosh garden,
and the Doomsday engine has multi-platform downloads at dengine.net - it's a really beautiful way to play doom engine games, and the their team works on it consistently.

The server will have a password so check our blog post -> http://bit.ly/14M8ldT at around 10 / 10:30 for the details

If everything goes well technically, I would love to host game nights weekly or bi-weekly so feel free to post classic mac games you'd want to play next (games needing basilisk ii & sheepshaver are certainly on the table, I just personally don't have any experience hosting under those emulations yet)

Thanks and hope to see you!
Max

it was a doom engine game! (id tech 1), it came out in '94 and was "exec produced" by john romero so there is some direct id software connection there
