First you need to install an operating system within Basilisk, called Mac OS or System (version 6, 7, 8,...) .
After that, you need to install Stuffit Expander, because the files here are compressed.

Usually, I would tell you create a .dmg Disk image in your host OS (Mac OS X), bind it to the emulator's drives list, initialize it, quit Bas, mount that disk image to Mac OS X, copy the downlaoded files onto it, eject it from Mac OS X, re-start Bas, then unstuff the files within Bas, but that all doesn't work because Snowie doesn't like to write to HFS volumes.

Other readers may please give further steps on this.

I have already installed the operating Mac OS 7.5 and when I start Bas it opens fine and the mac desktop appears. I just dont know how to get the downloaded .sit files to work in Bas. I have Stuffit but where do the extracted files go once I extract them? Some of the files are also toast images so where do I put those once I have extracted them?

With Stuffit extracted files go to the same folder where the .sit file is located. But there is a problem with Stuffit Expander at all, because it doesn't recognize double-clicked items. You have to drag the files onto the Stuffit Expander icon to unstuff them.

Some of the files are Toast images, which have the extension .toast, .cdr, .iso or similar.
To the emulator's Drives List you've added the Disk image where you already have installed Mac OS 7.5. Do add these Toast files the same way and they will be mounted within Basilisk. Same goes to Sheepshaver.
