Is it still worth buying the Macbook White laptop?

Hi, i would like your advise about a purchase of a Macbook,

Well, one of my friends is offering me the White Macbook for the equivalent of $90 USD
with Mac OS X Snow leopard 2.4Ghz 64bit processor but 3 keys don´t work ( p, ñ, -)
and a few scratches on the corners which I´ve learned that that was a design defect
but it doesn´t bother me,
I know those Macs were really expensive, when they came out
in Mexico were about $2000 USD, so $90 bucks got me a bit "cheerful"
(excuse my lack of english)
anyway...
what I do is Music composition so , I was planning to use Reason, FL studio, Samplitude
Pro Tools, Amplitube, well you get the idea.

so, Should I buy it? or not?

hell yes. you could spend the same again on an Apple aluminium keyboard (very, very slim), plug it in and never use the MacBook keyboard. The Alu keyboard is slim enough and light enough to be portable too.

The keys that don't work would be a small concern for me. Have you checked the display for defects? If no hardware issues other than KB and as the price for this is really good, I'd say yes and also look for a replacement keyboard for it - and still be winning.

I think this will do what you want from a computer for some time to come.

Check for play in the display, i had two white macbooks recently for check and both had play.

Thanks! to all who answered...
done, I´m gonna go for it,
I already have an older Apple white keyboard with the 2 usb ports in the back
so I was thinking on using that when i checked the bad keys,
and I don´t really care for the lack of SD ports, nor I care for games though I have been collecting really good software for a machine like this, but as I said, I want this Mac to be my main Music Studio, guitar Fx and personal stuff and leave my VAIO for Internet browsing, games and emulation,
just too bad there´s no Applewin for Macs, (I use Appleworks and other software within PROSEL SYSTEMS alot)
thanks for the key reassign tip, I didn´t know you could do that so that´s a big plus, and the screen is fine (No tiene juego) except for minor shell cracks on the edges of the keyboard sides.

I bought a used BlackBook 4 years ago and it's still rocking along fine. It's the 2 GHz model so yours is probably a model up. It can handle audio just fine. I did a couple of tracks with friends in Garageband using the bundled instruments, loops and recorded tracks.

I think the main thing to watch for is the battery. A replacement keyboard can be bought relatively cheaply but the batteries for these are still $130 from Apple. But for $90 I think it's a good deal!

One can always look:

I do agree that USD 90 is a bargain.
