Mac OS 7.5.3 on floppies if possible

Hey folks.

am looking for OS 7.5.3 on floppy disk images. I'm aware of apple's current offering on the server but I need floppies to use on a machine with no CDROM access.

there's scsi but I have no SCSI CDROM drive or caddy.

am running a charity to supply working macs for blind and visually impaired young people. my only workstation is my macbook pro so have no legacy workstations yet. until a delivery next week.

can anyone help?

cheers in advance.

You can actually load the 7.5.3 floppy disk images from Apple's site onto actual floppies using an old Windows PC, if you have one (and since they are a dime a dozen, it shouldn't be tough to find one). I had to do this a while back when I got an old Mac. You can use the program HFVExplorer to do it: http://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/hfvexplorer

A few questions: What is the Mac model that you are wanting these disk images for? Is it already working? ie; Does it have an already working Mac OS? If so; Which Mac OS version is it? If not: Do you know if it is capable of starting up? Does its floppy disk drive function? Do you have any other working Macs (preferably, old pre-Mac OS X) at hand?

The installer for SSW 7.5.3 at Apple is no longer stored in floppy disk image format. It is instead a complete installer in 19 parts that need to be re-combined at the receiving end.

However, they can be downloaded to any computer and the parts individually placed onto floppy media, then copied to a common folder on the intended Mac, then extract the ".bin" part files using Stuffit Expander to the same folder on the Mac, then double-click the ".smi" to have the installer mount onto the desktop to begin the install. Convoluted, but doable. Esp. if the Mac you want this for already has a working OS.

It's OK. just found what I needed through the apple legacy recovery CD on here. includes disk images for each floppy. just need to set up an OS9 mac to do this with a floppy drive. that shouldn't be an issue.

I'm an apple engineer (not employed by apple) but have a wealth of system experience. I just needed floppy images to create floppies to do the job with. The whole point of me as a blind mac user is not having a windows machine and wasting time finding an expensive and unreliable windows screen reader to speak objects and text to me to create disks. a waste of time and money. lol

no longer need OS 7.5.3 the project is no longer taking on older macs below G3 blue / white or powerbooks, ibooks, etc because the hardware and software are no longer properly supported nor effective to repair. just went through a stock of beige g3, 9600, 7600's and most are dead or not worth repair.
