mrdav's Rapidshare Files - Macintosh Garden

As most of you will have seen mrdav had a very large number of files hosted on rapidshare, and unfortuantley due to the restrictions rapidshare now impose on free users he decided not to renew his account. This meant most of the files he had on rapidshare had to be deleted

Just about a week ago mrdav offered to send my a drive containing everything that had been on his rapidshare account if i could make it all available again. And with some amazingly fast shipping i got the drive yesterday

These links will be slowly added to the pages of the apps

When prompted for a login enter: files/files (will streamline that into the URL as soon as i can figure out why on earth it's not working currently, you should be able to replace the beginning of the address with ftp://files:files@max1zzz.co.uk and you shouldn't need to enter a password but it dosen't want to work)

Speed is capped a 200kb/s

(this list may have some errors in it, please let me know if you find any)

Edit: seems they don't auto hyperlink correctly, you'll have to copy + paste the address's for now

Ah, I see the space chars in the file path and file names, which makes it non-clickable.

You're right with Copy & Paste for now.

Thanks max1zzz! Now I can download mrdav's files from here since Rapidshare requires registration to download (same like 4shared). How about if you mirror my old mediafire archive (2011)?

Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of my recent Mediafire archive, so it will wreck forever.

Just a note - I have limited the account to 2 concurrent downloads per unique IP address
Just having people with 5 - 6 open transfers can slow things down

(BTW, I don't have any problem with people downloading huge ammounts, just with people opening excessive numbers of transfers)

I don't know because the original topic "My MediaFire Archive" were deleted after my Mediafire archive suspended. That topic have many views and pages.

Hi, wenn clicked, it looks for "100", probably you must rename the folder
(replacing the space chars in "100 Schafe Karten" by, say, underlines,
or simply removing them, like seen in the filename currently.

Copy & Paste works fine and leads the file to be saved on local hard disk drive.

Did it actually start a download? (just i have seen it seem to work, but just produce a blank file)

The problem of the spaces can simply be fixed by wrapping it in the url tags afaik

Tried it as well and yes, it started fine, DL:ed fine with correct icon and unstuffed fine to a locked CDR-image.
Everything on iMac/10.7.8/Firefox 27

Ok good, seems for some reason i can't resolve the ftp address correctly from behind my router
(http works fine, for some reason the airport extreme is a bit funny about ftp)

Time to start linking to the app's pages

Just noticed a few pages have had files directly linked to here
just a note on that -> Rember to change the http://max1zzz.co.uk:8000 at the start of the address to ftp://files:files@max1zzz.co.uk otherwise the links aren't clickable

(i'm slowly working through the list so it's not a massive problem, but it's worth noteing)

I suggest that everyone pitch in and copy files from this list (if they don't not already have a copy) and upload where necessary to the internal server. I won't be doing it, except perhaps for the occasional file, and I don't think it is reasonable to expect max1zzz to do it either.

Massive job max1zzz -- great work!

I wish I could repost all my files, but the amount of work in decompressing, virus scanning (a necessity with my collection), recompression and uploading is way too much. Maybe when I crank up my G4 iMac again, with the 123GB HDD instead of 80GB.

Tomorrow is fine I wont be able to get onto it until the following day or day after due to appointments I need to square away. So dont panic if I dont answer ya right away..
