This guy is great. Goes through all the old mac games he used to play as a kid and still plays some of them. I know all of these games by heart cause I'm still quite the addict

Let me start be saying I used to make CDs for each of my favorite games on matter how small they where. I would add screen shots, create my own read me files and make sure all the icons where in the right position and place also got to a point where I had to have a picture on every folder and made sure they wernt duplicates of the same icon (unless they where data files).
I sometimes get into a habit of playing demos of full games which already came out and has been freeware for quite sometime. Reason I do that? Brings back all these memories and makes my eyes water of when I first downloaded the demo for the first time and getting soo excited over a slow 56k download.
Later on in the 2001/2002 error id look for every possible mac site INCLUDING RetroMac68K which was a great server, spent whole days on that just looking deep through all the folder indexes/archives and waiting for new content to come in, also chatting to the admins quite a bit, they all thought I was a bit crazy sometimes. Anyway I would get my note pad (which I still have) and surf the web and retromac68k, write down every game I want to download, after id create categories for each of them (action, adventure and arcade). Using my old chunky 100mb zip drive as well for all the small games and demos.
My other habit would be doing a fresh install of each game (sometimes the whole system) over and over no matter how long or how short period of time it was on my HD (still do this time and time again)
, I would go through and do a daily check up of what needs to go or not, of course I couldent get rid of everything cause I always got the feeling id miss out on playing that game again or if I wanted to come back to it.
Id like to hear from people about their mac habits or for example what you used to do to keep a Demo file alive back in the day, to make it look like the full game playing it over and over thinking, damn I wish I had a the whole thing.
In the end I was disappointed with some of the full versions cause id played the demo sooo much that id just play that same level or episode instead of the others when I got round to the commercial version want used to the design of the later levels, they're to new for me! I think ive done my dash but some of these habits i'll never be able to lose like keeping my old mac games close and secure with original boxes and manuals intact also cleaning down all my CDs even.
Sorry guys im the nutty professor xD. I Get bit carried away and have the urge to say all these things, feels like ive been writing a frecking novel this whole time. Godda hate books though. I also have work in the morning, buuuut would like to hear about every ones crazy mac stories (if you got any), OR habits you name it!
Peace sign,
Johnny

Oh what I ment by icon folders was the game icon application its self, so Id just go to the get info menu and copy and paste the game icon to the folder in which the game app is in, makes it look tidier too. And still do with my newer intel apps and folders..
