Has anyone here burned a DVD using Toast? I have a ISO image that's over 700 MB and I'm thinking of burning it to a DVD because it won't fit on a CD. There should be no problem, right?

Which version of Toast ?
Toast 5 and later can burn DVDs.
I used to have Toast 4 OEM, and I can't remember for sure, but it must have been able to burn DVDs, there were DVD writers for Mac as soon as FireWire was available, long before Toast 5 came out.
That should be fine, for a backup of the file, but there may be issues if the 700MB+ app expects to validate a CD, and finds a DVD. But there may not be any issues, can't say until you try.
I was in the same situation years ago with a disk image taken from Unreal Tournament. Just too big for a 700MB disc, and no 800MB discs to be had for less than the price of a DVD-R.
