Power Pete and SheepShaver: Runs way too fast

Title says all, Power Pete runs way too fast under SheepShaver, reaching even triple speed! Is there any way to get SheepShaver to slow down so that Power Pete would run at normal speed?

I do not know if there is (or was) a cpu throttle software for Classic.
I recall such a thing for W2K or XP:
http://www.oldskool.org/pc/throttle
If you are running the emulator on such a host, it might just work.
Might be worth trying the app in a virtual machine too, e.g. BasiliskII on XP in VMWare on OSX.
The virtual box will eat some cpu power and one could give Windows only one core...

Linux has some tools like this one:

Look for OSX here:

but seems not to be compatible to Sheep.

Oh - oh, so I do know now. A quick search is advisable at times.
Of course I was thinking of some 68k or early PPC software. Smile

Edit: If you should go the VM way, Virtual Box from Oracle has a cpu speed stepping included.

I tried G3, but it made the game too choppy
