Request: Toast 7 Titanium

I would like to see "Toast 7 Titanium" pop up on this site. Last version is 7.1.3, as far I know.
I need this to create some .cue/.bin image from a CD. Unfortunately, Toast 6 only creates the .bin file only (= no .cue, so broken feature Sad ). Forums on the internet saying only in Toast 7 both .bin and .cue files are created.

Thanks in advance.

If you are wanting to image a mixed mode CD then my experience is that the bin-cue created by Toast 7 is no good. It will create a bin file and a cue file, but if you try to burn a CD from this bin-cue, Toast fails to recognise the cue file as valid. There are also some problems with a later version of Toast (IIGS User has some experience there).

This is true, in the meanwhile I registered the UltraISO (Windows) application.
Some problem files I've created are archived on the internal server, but has been fixed by Mrdav and are offered on an external mirror, additionally.

Toast is pretty useless for working with bin/cue type formats. You're better off using SimplyBurns. It uses the bin/toc format (as it's based on cdrdao) but the end result is a similar format. One data track with a textual tracklist. Can be burned in OS X/Windows/Linux.

For proper bin/cue the best option is still Windows (or Wine/Parallels etc) with something like ImgBurn.

Or UltraISO. I agree that you need to use a Windows program to get bin-cue right

Thanks for your tips!
I will try then Windows and ImgBurn. Unfortunately, I have a PPC-based Mac Mini G4 only. So I need to stick with VirtualPC 7 and Windows XP.

Nevertheless I would love to see "Toast 7 Titanium" to be uploaded to this site as it is no supported by Its Developer (current version is 10 or 11 already) and version 7 is the last one to support PPC-Macs, too.

It seems that in the upload zone the year 2005 is included. I remember it was 2002 but it seems the option was "upgraded" recently. That introduces a slight dilemma here. The garden stores mostly software that runs on macos9 or earlier. The line between the old and the new era of macos it's going to become thinner. It has been a topic of debate if we should post OS X compatible/native software here or not. Toast 7 falls in that category. By 2005 we had several incarnations of Panther, and the release of Tiger, tiger being the last OS to support the classic environment. So what do we do? Shall we start uploading OSX software here? Personally, i love this site for its devotion to the "classic" software. software that really has the feeling of "abandoned", and why not, software that brings a LOT of memories. Software that brings the true original personality of the Macintosh.

This has been discussed is various places here. Most recent is in here I think. My view is expressed in comment #7, and that is how I decide on whether to upload or not in this grey area.
