I have just taken delivery of my new Core i7 Dell Inspiron 15R (N5110). What I soon realised is that I did not need all this raw power, and new technology. What I really wanted was a unibody MacBook Pro (15") from 2008+.
The Dell does run OS X Lion quite well, although there are no real touchpad drivers, which makes it difficult. Also, setup can be a bit fiddly.
I used a 2008 model recently, and magically, it still had an anti-glare screen
I paid $900AUS for this, and it of course comes with invoice, documentation and discs.
The main requirements for the MacBook Pro, is 4GB RAM, and SuperDrive.
If you want to trade up, don't hesitate to click on my name, and email me!
