As I understand, this site started using torrents instead direct download. I'm afraid that site can die in future, because 99% of this torrents doesn't have seeders...

Am I right?
I would say you are in fact not right. I have grabbed a bunch of files via torrents here and never had a problem with them not being seeded within a 24 hour period of starting the torrent. I also kept seeding them.
It seems like it is torrents or nothing at all because the costs to the folks hosting the web site went out of control when they tried to host the files directly for download as they get charged for bandwidth from the hosting company.
Even if a torrent no longer has any seeders, is the original file at least privately backed up on the Macintosh Garden server? I'd hate for files to just evaporate completely.
All these torrents are backed up with Amazon S3. If you don't have any seeders, your client configuration probably is incorrect.
I have not had any problems with seeders,
So far, ALL the games and apps have downloaded fine and fast.
I use Free download manager for Windows, and I didn't have to configure anything,
as a matter of fact, before I knew MacGarden, I didn't even know what a Torrent was.
