I seem to be unable to install the VMWare Tools for Tiger in VMWare Fusion 3.1.3 on Snow Leo.
Thanks all for your attention. I lilely did something wrong with my setup.
As it is no big issue, I´ll try a setup on a Windows host some day.

Am I missing something ? Do you mean that you have VMWare Fusion v3 running under Mac OS X Tiger on Intel and that the Tools with that version don't work on Tiger. You mean the same VMWare Fusion that was released to be Snow Leopard compatible ?
I have the original v1 and v2, v1 may be more compatible with OSX 10.4. If you have a licence, you can still download all the software and patches from VMWare.
