What's with all the updates??

Is any admin going to let us in on the secret about why there has been so many updates being listed in the "Recent Changes" link over the last couple of days or so?? It almost looks like it may be some sort of automatic process. There's been pages and pages of them whenever I pop in and checking a few of the "updated" pages doesn't seem to turn up anything exciting has been changed. Smile

Makes it difficult to know what is really new / updated and what is just part of this "update frenzy". I sort-of don't want to upload anything new that will get missed by others in the long lists (not that I'm uploading anything that amazing anyway).

Click the "Revisions" link (near top right corner of page) that's available to you on a GAMES or APPS page, while you're logged in to the MG. Then on the "Revisions" page, click the "Show diff" button to view any changes that have occurred.

Periodically rules are updated for a page's criteria - often (when you notice bulk changes being made) new sub categories have been created & added to existing Taxonomy rules.

The process isn't automatic. If you care to look through the Revisions you'll find most of these bulk changes are made by the admin Daxeria.
For example: Old Taxomony: "Educational", New Taxomony sub-category: "Early Childhood"

Because the nature of the Tracker is to report such Taxonomy changes as being "new", then you will see these show up as new items on the "recent changes" tracker page. Nothing you can do about this, it can be disruptive if you only use the tracker page when accessing the MG, but at least you might understand a little better now as to what has been going on.

This activity also tends to last a day or two and then it settles down to being "business as usual" Wink

Thanks. I use the Tracker page as an easy (usually) method to see any changes / additions there have been since my previous visit. It does seem to have dropped back to normal now. Smile
