I agree with that definition. And Megaupload and Mediafire and various others are a way to endure under the difficult circumstances (difficult = the "edit this page" trick doesn't always work).
It might be better to just have everything uploaded to external sites anyway (and eliminate MG downloads), so everything isn't dependent upon the health of just one server. It would alleviate bandwidth costs and this site would be easier to maintain.
This may actually be preferable, that way the uploader wouldn't feel compelled to upload twice, once here and once to an external site. Also the Megaupload links would stay active and therefore not be deleted from not being used.
Anyway, this is just a suggestion.
