A disk compilation of over 1200 user made scenarios for Ultimate Doom (600+) and Doom II (600+).
A hybrid DOS/Mac CD image, the DOS side is actually better structured, with Doom 1 & 2 WAD files in their own directories, plus launchers to load up and play x number of WADs (an unlikely, up to 1000 games per session). The Mac partition offers no such niceties, the games are structured alphabetically into folders and you're on your own to decipher whether they're playable in Doom 1 or Doom 2. They do have their Mac "Creator" & "File" types set tho', so each game is double-clickable and will begin play immediately as required.
The Toast CD image is compressed as StuffIt ".sit", use StuffIt Expander 5.5 or later to extract. This .toast file is mountable in a classic Mac OS using the Virtual CD/DVD Utility.
If you are running Windows and want to use this archive, you can use "The Unarchiver" to expand the ".sit" file "Demon_Gate_1.2.toast_.sit". Once extracted, change the suffix ".toast" to ".iso" and burn (or mount the image) with your usual tools.
The command to use for extraction is: unar -k hfv "Demon_Gate_1.2.toast_.sit" (quotes around file's name must be included).
